Argentine Malbecs may not be as well known as Argentine futbol or big juicy steaks but that is swiftly changing thanks to bottles like the 2006 Gascon Malbec, which sells for $12.

Malbecs are best with food with strong flavors that need a wine that can hold its own– which makes the full bodied malbec a perfect companion to red meat and hearty pasta dishes.
