Ushuaia’s International Festival to Debut New Philharmonic Orchestra
Mar 18, 2008 Click to Comment → PrintThis April, the Festival Internacional de Ushuaia will feature performances by the region’s own Ushuaia Philharmonic Orchestra, La Orquesta Filarmonica de Ushuaia. The newly formed orchestra is made up of an international line-up of world renowned classical musicians, and will be directed by conductor Jorge Uliarte, formerly of the Berlin Symphony Orchestra.
The festival will also feature the Arcus Trio, Croatian pianist Gorac Filipec, and violinist Xavier Inchausti with his classical quintet. The festival runs from April 5-9 at the Las Hayas Resort Hotel and is free of charge.
