Gentlemen, start your engines. The World Rally Car Championship (WRC) is coming to Cordoba this weekend. The three-day rally will comprise of outdoor-tuned race cars competing on a custom made dirt track which traverses the hills and mountain passes of the northwestern Argentine region.

This race will be one of only two in the Southern Hemisphere this year, the other being New Zealand, which will host the WRC in late August. Traditionally, the local people are well known to encourage visiting rally teams to contest culinary competitions prior to the race. Cordoba, like most of Argentina, is famous for its beef.
