Well, at least the soccer team is. The US Men’s National Soccer Team is set to host Argentina in an international friendly match on June 8th at Giants Stadium in New Jersey. The Argentine National Team last faced the US in June 2007 in the Copa America tournament in Venezuela, where the US suffered an embarrassing 4-1 loss in the opening round.
Argentina looks strong, with perennial stars like Messi, Tevez, Riquelme, Gago, and Crespo all set for this year’s rematch. The US National Team will try their best at revenge with Landon Donovan, Argentine-born Claudio Reina, and Eddie Johnson, last year’s only goal scorer against the South American squad.
