The Feria de Abril, or April Fair, will be going on all month at Plaza Dorrego in the heart of San Telmo. A Feria in Argentina is an outdoor market, which usually sells hand-made artisan crafts, books, paintings, antiques, and random souvenirs. The Feria de Abril is sponsored by the Museo de la Ciudad, and this year’s focus is on antiquities, or older, rare gifts. The only requirement to participate as a vendor is providing at least 10 items to sell.
The Feria de Abril begins on Saturday, April 5, and continues each Saturday afternoon until April 26. The regular Sunday Feria in Plaza Dorrego will continue as usual, however the organizers of the April event claim that the vendors will be entirely different from one day to the other.
