		<description>Hey Alan. Thanks for the comment. So the strike was lifted temporarily over the weekend, as per the Bloomberg report, but the police have removed many roadblocks all over the country as of today (Tues. April 1). 

It&#039;s a bit confusing, but the reports I&#039;ve read indicate that discussions are ongoing, which means the strike isn&#039;t halting anything. Either way, there&#039;s beef in my local grocer, so I&#039;m happy.

Good work on all these Argentina news updates recently! :-)

However, I think this Bloomberg report is old news (from Friday 28th March) - as far as I am aware, the farmers strike and roadblocks are still ongoing (they were only partially lifted for a very short time on Friday). Let&#039;s hope an agreement can be negotiated soon though... poor old Cristina had to cancel her trip to the UK to speak at her boyfriend&#039;s (sorry, I mean Economic Minister ;-) old university , LSE, because of the ongoing crisis.
