US Democrats Score Abroad

A group of expat US democrats calling themselves Democrats Abroad Argentinahave been getting some press as of late. The group, started by Buenos Aires blogger Yanqui Mike, organizes events and social gatherings for members (or supporters) of the US Democratic Party living in Argentina. These are not politicians, mind you, but just members of the party who want their voice heard overseas, and want a way to network with each other with the election coming up.

Clarin, Buenos Aires’ biggest newspaper, ran a piece about the Democrats Abroad group holding a Super Tuesday rally at Bar Tazz in Palermo some time ago. Now Clarin is doing a feature piece on the group for its extended Sunday edition.
