The acclaimed musical Rent is playing in Buenos Airesto rave reviews from both Portenos and expats alike. The show, which was a huge success for 10 years in the US, is now playing at the Konex theaterin the Once section of the city. The musical is performed in Spanish, and follows the same story of young New Yorkers trying to get by on little to no money, a theme many Portenos can relate to. The venue, Konex, is famous for it’s large size, and regular percussion orchestra performances called, La Bomba del Tiempo. General admission for Rent is $20 pesos, and better seats are available for $60-$80 pesos.
