This week’s FIFA World Soccer Rankings place the Argentine national squad as tops in the world. Well known for being a perennial soccerpowerhouse, the new world rankings are further confirmation that Argentina will be the team to beat in the next world cup. With two years to go until the next tournament in South Africa, the team looks to maintain their top status, as well as staying strong in South American play. Buenos Aires also holds the distinction of having the most professional teams, 24, in one city in the world. Argentina’s next home game will be a world cup qualifierplayed on June 15, in Buenos Aires against Ecuador.
