Ranger Roberto Bubas has been around killer whales for years. He has photographed them, studied them, and now swims with them and touches them without any fear or threat of danger. The 37-year-old park ranger from Puerto Madryn, in southern Argentina has locals awestruck at his unique ability to communicate, socialize, and calm the dangerous killers of the sea. Bubas says he even plays the harmonica to them to relax them. Unfortunately, he has been ordered to stop making contact with the wales due to Patagonia protection laws. Killer wales can weigh up to six tonnes, and are known for attacking when threatened. Bubas is currently writing a book on the subject, and encourages visitors to come see how wonderful and friendly these giant creatures can be up close.
