Quiet Coghlan, Undiscovered BA Barrio

Named after an Irish engineer who lived in the area for over 30 years, Coghlan is a quiet part of Buenos Aires near Belgrano in the northeast section of the city. Far from the traffic of downtown, and the posh shopping and restaurants of Palermo, Coghlan is safe, friendly, and beautiful. Travel blogger Robert Wright of Line of Sight tells about his day trip there, and how serene it is to walk through the streets on an autumn day. There’s a lot of green space, no traffic, and older, yet maintained houses. To get to Coghlan, your best bet is to take the commuter train, or walk from Belgrano if you’re feeling adventurous.
