Argentina Looks to Wind Power to Help Solve Energy Crisis

Argentina’s Metallurgical Industry Group, IMPSA, has just submitted a request to the government of Vietnam to research and develop wind-based power sources to bring back to Argentina, and to export to other Asian nations. The group believes that with Vietnam’s resources, it can develop and actualize a significant amount of natural power generators which are in high demand in many parts of the world. These generators would offset the cost of energy to the buyer, as well as being more environmentally friendly. Currently, Argentina is going through an energy crisis, and rolling brownouts have been required in some parts of the country to conserve energy usage. In the past year, the Argentine government has had to take out significant loans in order to buy extra energy from neighboring Bolivia, and make up for national shortages.
