Beginning today and going until May 24, the first International Comic Book Fair in Buenos Aires, Festival “Viñetas Sueltas,†takes place at the Centro Cultural Rojas on Av. Corrientes. Following in the footsteps of the Feria de Libros and the Puro Diseño design fair, this newcomer has big shoes to fill. The fledgling fair incorporates artists and authors from many Latin American countries as well as several European ones, encouraging a dialogue about how the two art communities interact. Such discussions will be held at “workshops†and are open to the public. With its own website and its own blog, the festival encourages the public to get to know its participants and their work, and starting today, that work is on display to be enjoyed.
