The prestigious art fair, arteBA, which calls itself the “epicenter of Latin American art,” begins its 16th year this Thursday. The fair showcases mostly the work of Argentine and other South American artists, but there are also a few artists from Spain, France, and the United States. More than just a chance for locals and tourists to see the best in contemporary art, the fair is also a meeting place for artists and business people. According to the arteBA website, it is one of the more important venues for art dealership in all of Latin America. The fair is in La Rural, Av. Sarmiento 2704, and is open from 1pm to 10pm daily. It only lasts five days, May 29th to June 2nd and last year over 113,000 people attended, so it is sure to be crowded on the weekend.
