Conflicts between famous director Francis Ford Coppola and the Asociacion Argentina de Actores (Argentina Actors Association) may be causing delays in the on-location shooting of the film Tetro. Scheduled to be released in 2009, Tetro is a semi-autobiographical film about an Italian immigrant family of artists making their lives in Argentina. The movie is being run from Coppola’s home studio in Buenos Aires. According to the Union, filming has come to a halt due to complaints that Argentine actors in the film are working without a contract. However, the representative of Coppola’s production company, Zoetrope, says that there are no problems and that filming is proceeding as usual.
