An ultra-modern casino, with a five star hotel and a convention center, is being built in Rosario by Casinos de Rosario S.A. The architect Aldina Quintiero says that the casino will have a “broader concept of entertainment, including recreational facilities, accommodations, and excellent food,†and will “target tourists.†The location for the project is in a poorer area near the major roads leading into the city from Buenos Aires and it is hoped that the project will stimulate development in that area. The ClarÃn included the casino in its special Architecture supplement, praising it for its creative integration of so many facilities into a single space. When it is completed, the casino will be an easy trip from Buenos Aires, although its services, games, and hotel may entice tourists away from the big city entirely.
