The first of a three part comprehensive guide to all things Argentine wine was published yesterday on the website Wine-pages.com. The writer, Tom Cannavan has been to Argentina three times in the last five years and his most recent visit inspired this guide because he feels that Argentine may be at a turning point where it can really take advantage of the stability the country is enjoying. In Part One, he describes many of the top bodegas in the Uco Valley, as well as giving a general overview of wine in the region. Part Two, a more thorough review of the Mendoza wine region, will be posted today and will no doubt be an excellent resource for any tourists looking to learn a little bit more about wine. Perhaps the guide will inspire wine lovers to jet down to Argentina to experience the vineyards for themselves.
