Madonna—Former “Evitaâ€â€”Announces Return to Buenos Aires
Jun 6, 2008 Click to Comment → PrintFifteen years after her first live concert in Buenos Aires, Madonna is, according to the Clarin, “90 percent confirmed†for an appearance in December to perform songs from her new album Hard Candy. Her world-tour, called Sticky & Sweet, begins just as the diva turns 50, marking a milestone in the life of an iconic pop singer. Madonna has, in some ways, a special place in Argentina culture. In 1995 she was here filming Evita, in which she played the part of Evita Perón, one of the most important people in Argentine history and culture. It is hoped that she will be giving multiple performances in Buenos Aires, although the venues have not yet been announced.
