On Sunday night, the Argentine and US national soccer teams played in New Jersey and tied 0-0.  Coming from their sound win over Mexico, Argentina was expected to beat the United States, who had just lost to England and Spain. According to ESPN.com, in the first half, Argentina had many near goals, but the United States goalie made some big saves to keep the game scoreless.  In the second half, a much better US team stepped onto the field and the game remained even.  Of course, as all this was happening, Argentine fans of River were celebrating at the Obelisk and their spirits could not have been dampened even buy this rather disappointing Argentine performance.
