The Ministry of Social Development is now accepting submissions—short stories and poetry—for a writing contest entitled “It All Happened in Buenos Aires.†What makes this writing competition unusual? Only the over-65 can enter! In a world where people spend billions of dollars to hide their age, this competition recognizes that life brings more than wrinkles. Older members of society have within their memories the incredibly complex history of this sleepless city and the competition will keep the elderly incorporated into society by asking them to share those stories with the rest of us. Submissions close July 31st and a jury will select winners to be placed in an anthology.
