Still only in the preliminary stage, ANBariloche reported that there is talk of creating a boat service from downtown Bariloche, at Puerto San Carlos, to Villa la Angostura. The service would run four to five times a week and cross beautiful Lake Nahuel Huapi. Of course, a lot of negotiation needs to happen before this idea can become a reality. A business, which remained nameless, contacted Visitor Services of Nahuel Huapi National Park to propose the idea and now they are going to meet with heads of the towns and the national parks to discuss it further. If the idea goes through, the boat service could be a great way to allow residents and tourists of both Bariloche and Villa la Angostura easy access to one another.
