This Saturday at 1 pm, Democrats Abroad Argentina organized a meeting on the Puente de la Mujer, one of the most recognizable landmarks in Puerto Madero, to participate in an international show of support for Senator Barack Obama, called “The Obama Bridge Project.” The slogan of the event was “Yes We Span,” a spin-off of the Obama campaign’s “Yes We Can,” and the idea was to take pictures of Democrats abroad spanning the bridges of the world. According to iReport, the Buenos Aires event was held in conjunction with 4,000 other events around the world. In addition to posing for the photograph, volunteers were also on hand to help register voters for the upcoming election, a project they have been working on with the Republicans Abroad.
