The mayor of Buenos Aires Mauricio Macri signed an agreement with Walt Disney Company Argentina to use the character Wall-E in a new cleanliness campaign directed at children. Called the “Conscientiousness and Consensus” campaign, Macri says that it will attempt to teach children to keep “our beloved Buenos Aires clean.” In the film, Wall-E is a robot whose job is to clean up a planet that human waste has completely destroyed. According to the Argentine Government’s website, trash continues to be a big problem here in Buenos Aires.  It is hoped that changing the trash creation and disposal habits of the next generations will lead to a cleaner and even more beautiful city.
