A new survey on the state of air travel in Argentina revealed that in the first half of 2008, flights departed on time 53 percent of the time, up from 26.3 percent last year. According to The Argentine Post, LAN Argentina was the airline with the highest percentage of on-time departures (90 percent). The most punctual international airlines were Continental and Taca, with 95 percent on-time departures. The survey was conducted by the Argentine Right to Tourism Association. In a time when air travel seems to be getting worse, not better, its findings about Argentina seem promising for tourism in the second half of 2008.
