August is Children’s Month because the country’s official “Día del Niño” is always the second Sunday of August, which is this coming weekend. To celebrate that day and the month in general, the government of Buenos Aires has a number of activities scheduled for children and their families. According to the city government’s website, on August 8th and 9th, two plays: “Colón agarra viaje” and “Oiga chamigo aguará,” both by Adela Basch, will be performed in the Centro Cultural Resurgimiento at Artigas 2262. On Sunday, there will be an event for children and parents at the Parque Polideportivo Municipal. It starts at 2 and will include many fun sports and activities for all ages.
