The 10th annual Festival de Tango begins August 15th and runs through August 24th at a variety of venues across the city. Opening night takes place at the Teatro Avenida and will include a concert by Master Leopoldo Federico. The program after the 15th will run every day from noon to 9 and will include tango shows, classes, conferences, seminars, and film screenings. According to the government website, the Ministry of Culture is offering free tickets to this exciting festival; they can be picked up at the Casa de la Cultura on Avenida de Mayo 575. Anyone can go there, and get up to 6 tickets total to three different events. It is one of the biggest tango spectacles in the world, so tickets will go fast!
