Right now, an artistic exhibit is opening in the Botanical Gardens of Buenos Aires, on Av. Santa Fe, which highlights the simply moments of Argentine life. According to the government website, the exhibit was created by Gabriela Osorio and is called “Construcciones” (Constructions). On display are drawing of scenes of quotidian life: children reading a book on a bench, one child carrying her younger brother. Osorio said that she wanted to create a hyper realistic work that showed small, seeming unimportant details in scenes that might at first appear utopic. Through these perhaps conflicting details and scenes, she wanted to create a “labyrinth” of possible poetic and true subjects. An interesting proposition that is sure to be enjoyable in the beautiful Botanical Gardens, which themselves offer an interesting contrast to the bustling city.
