With a name like Minimahuella—which doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue—this small sustainable design company must rely on fresh ideas and arresting design concepts to get people to remember who they are. Literally “small footprint,” Minimahuella is based in Buenos Aires and is currently featured in Inhabitat, a blog that promotes sustainable, future-forward design. Located on Villarino 2498 in Barrio Barracas, Minimahuella creates pencil holders from floppy disks, pots plants in old light bulbs, and makes chairs from old crates. Amazingly, their products are sustainable, beautiful, and affordable, and since there is no shortage of discarded “trash” in Buenos Aires, they should be able to keep designing for years to come.
