Expotrastiendas is the art fair organized by the Argentine Association of Art Galleries (AAGA) that has been taking place since the year 2001. The fair will promote visual arts and give artists a chance to meet potential buyers. According to their official website, this year’ fair will, for the first time, include electronic art in the exhibitions, a change that is being organized by Rodrigo Alonso. In addition to art, there will be seminars, contests, an exhibition on Argentine art from the 1930s, and a series of performances by guests from around the world. The Mexican Embassy is participating in this year’s fair to help the government of Buenos Aires honor Argentine art expert Raquel Tibol, who became a naturalized Mexican. Beginning on September 13th and running through the 18th, the venue is the Centro de Exposiciones de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires and entrance is 15 pesos.
