In the South American World Cup Qualifying tournament, Paraguay put the heat on Brazil and Argentina when they beat Venezuela 2-0 on Tuesday. The win gave Paraguay a total of 17 points, 5 points more than Argentina and Brazil have. Tied at twelve a piece, Argentina and Brazil are expected to win their games today and accrue two more points each. Of course, nothing is a sure thing; the Argentine soccer team must beat Peru today in Peru’s home stadium. Brazil will face last place Bolivia in Brazil. In the tournament, the top four teams will qualify to go to the World Cup, and the fifth place team will go to a playoff between teams from the CONCACAF north and Central America zones.
