4th Annual Antique Book Fair in Buenos Aires

1 Comment Print

Buenos Aires is known for its bookshops, from the theater-turned-bookstore Ateneo on Santa Fe to the seemingly endless dusty used book stores on Corrientes. Lovers of books, especially the rare and the old, will love the 4th Annual Antique Book Fair, hosted by the Minister of Culture of the city of Buenos Aires and the ALADA (Association of Antique Booksellers of Argentina). The event takes place on September 24th through the 28th at the Museo de Arte Hispanoamericano Isaac Fernández Blanco. Beginning at 2 and ending at 8 each day, entrance is only one peso. Visitors will get to see a wide variety of books, manuscripts, early documents printed in Argentina, and some rare first editions, all of which combined begin to present some idea of the history of printmaking in Argentina.
