The Teatro Colon Ballet Company, still without its home while the Teatro Colon undergoes reconstruction, will be performing a new program at the Teatro Coliseo. According to My Buenos Aires Travel Guide, they will perform three different ballets. The first number is called “Les Sylphides” and is set to the piano pieces of Chopin. The second number, “Momentos,” is set to the music of Glover Gill, an American composer with a passion for Argentine Tango, thus the group’s name: Glovertango. The last ballet is the Grand Pas of the third act of “Raymonda,” a classical ballet with music by Alexander Glazunov. Performances begin this evening at 8:30 and run Saturday, Sunday, and Tuesday. Tickets are 16 to 50 pesos, on sale at the Teatro Colon ticket office.
