Puerto Madryn, a city best known for the whales that visit its shores every year, now has its first five star hotel. According to La Nación, the new Rayentray Hotel is 50 meters from the beach and has 180 rooms with direct ocean views. In total, it has 450 rooms, including suites, and also has special accommodations for presidents and governors, should any wish to come see this UNESCO World Heritage site. There are tennis courts, a dining room, a conference space that could hold up to 2,000 people—all the luxuries of a five star hotel. The project has been sixteen years in the making, plagued by delays, and is now the first of its kind in the province. The La Nación website has a video of the inauguration of the hotel that gives a small visual sample of the facilities.
