Argentina announced that it plants to reach 200 million dollars worth of exports to Angola by the end of the year, up from a previous estimate of 165.8 million dollars. According to All Africa, Argentina’s ambassador to Angola, Ricardo Víctor Roggero credited the rise to Argentina’s authorization of the practice of vegetable and animal genetics. This authorization should enable farmers there to increase cereals production from 33 million tons (where it was at the year’s beginning) to about 100 million. With far more cereals available for export, Argentina can also import more of the many tropical products that Angola exports. In addition to strengthening trade relations, Ambassador Ricardo also wants to intensify the cooperation at the economic and staff training levels in the various fields, specifically medicine.
