In what was an extremely important World Cup Qualifier game for Argentine soccer, the team rose to the occasion to beat Uruguay 2-1. According to Fox Sports, it was Lionel Messi, Argentina’s star player, who once again sparked the team to victory. Messi scored a goal only six minutes into the game, and his goal was soon followed in the thirteenth minute by one from his team mate Sergio Aguero. Uruguay managed to put a goal in near the end of the first half but Argentina held them for the rest of the game. This win for Argentina means that they received three points for the game, moving them into second place in the CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying standings with 16 points. Paraguay continues to lead the pack in South America with 20 points.

Hey!
Argentina are in third after the full round of qualifying games was completed at the weekend. They are behind Brazil (in 2nd) on goal difference.

But both positions are still enough to qualify (and both will qualify).
Hey,
It is strange that Fox Sports made an error ranking Argentina, but your source does seem to contradict it! Thanks for the heads up.
