The 45th Annual “Fiesta Nacional de la Cerveza,†or Oktoberfest, in Cordoba province drew crowds of around 35,000 people to Cordoba to drink beer and make merry. According to Terra, the event took place in the city of Villa General Belgrano, 88 kilometers from the capital city of Cordoba. The festival began on October 3rd and ran for eleven days, ending on October 14th. The final Sunday, the 12th, saw more than 15,000 people enter the central plaza of the beer festival. The festival strives to maintain all the features of its German counterpart, celebrating the best in beer and at the end, electing a Reina de la Cerveza (Beer Queen). This year, Gisella Berger won the crown. Throughout the festival, you could watch the merrymaking from televisions across the country and envy those who had made it to the festival.
