The Argentine Football Association has sent a proposal to the Nigeria Football Federation, suggesting that the two countries’ soccer teams play a friendly match against one another. According to Sun News Online, the proposed game would happen sometime early next year. The last time that Argentina and Nigeria played one another was in a senior national team game on June 2, 2002 during the World Cup held in Korea and Japan. That match ended with a victory for Argentina, 1-0. Before the game can be agreed upon, both teams have to negotiate all the seemingly minor details of plane ticket costs, appearance fees, and accommodations for Nigerian players and coaches.
