Residents Protest Palermo Fair

Plaza Serrano, one of the hippest shopping, dining and people watching spots of Palermo, will soon host a city-officiated street fair every Saturday and Sunday- much to the dismay of its residents.  The disgruntled inhabitants claim that while the city has ordained 120 licenses to vendors, more than twice as many will roam the streets. The Palermo Residents Association also claims the presence of the vendors harms local businesses.  The addition of more vendors and more tourists will cause unwanted and unregulated congestion.
