Two weeks ago (mid September) I received a fake 100 peso note from the bank ATM at the corner of Las Heras and Billinghurst. Fortunately, it was the only counterfeit bill I received during two weeks of wonderful vacation in BA.

Yesterday August 29 2009 I received from an ATM in Avenida Santa Fe three counterfeit 100 peso bills (all with identical numbers!) and one fake 50 peso bill. IÂ´ll visit the bank tomorrow; if they donÂ´t give me real money I`ll frame the bills and hang them in my office (and remain convinced that someone in the bank is behind it.

2 of my friends and myself also received fake billets of 100 pesos from the atm HSBC rua florida, they also said it was impossible…

itÂ·s really unbelievable that you canÂ·t trust a bank like this…

My wife and I received fake 100 pesos bill from the ATM at the HSBC bank location in Buenos Aires financial district. When we went back to confront the bank, they refused to take it back and told us that it wasn’t possible, that ATM was supposed to shred the fake bill!

I have received fake 100 pesos bills from the atm at a CitiBank location. It has actually happened on 2 occasions at 2 locations!
