La Morada Hostel sits in the mountains. That’s the best way to describe it. While crashing at Hostel 1004 for a few nights in Bariloche I began to notice the signs posted everywhere, and the conversations among the travelers about this mountain getaway. Having heard this much without even asking, I became intrigued and I knew there had to be something special about this place.

If you are looking for a mountain getaway, follow your compass South. San Martin de los Andes offers so many outdoor activities that it is difficult to validate time spent indoors while you’re there. But when you do need to catch some zzzz’s, there is no better place than Puma Hostel.
One of my favorite hostel experiences took place in Bariloche where the views are as great as the company. Hostel 1004 sits on the tenth floor of the highest building in Bariloche. It is a unique hostel location and experience; and quite possibly the cheapest price you will ever pay for a lake side, panoramic view of the Andes Mountains.
Being away from my family on Christmas was much more difficult than I thought it was going to be. Therefore, I decided to take a trip to Mendoza to distract myself from the fact that it was the holiday season. Considering my love for dogs (pushing on obsession actually), I ended up choosing to stay at Hostel Lao in Mendoza, as I knew there was a dog living there! The place looked nice in the photos as well, don’t worry. Little did I know that not only would I find a fantastic hostel and the most playful dog, but also a social situation that left me feeling anything but alone for the holidays!
If you are traveling to Puerto Iguazu to see the phenomenal Iguazu Falls, make sure to check out the nearby Hostel-Inn Iguazu. This hostel will surely surprise you with its luxury accommodations. It is not only the nicest hostel I have ever seen, but also tons of fun with all kinds of activities and entertainment. Hostel-Inn Iguazu is located outside of town. It is possible to walk there; however, if you are just arriving from a long trip with all your bags, I suggest jumping on the bus. If you arrive at the bus terminal you will find the bus very convenient and for the price of one peso you can’t go wrong. Every thirty minutes a yellow bus arrives at the terminal and travels along Ruta 12. Ask the bus driver to tell you when you have arrived at Km 5 or tell him where you are staying and he will know exactly where you want to be dropped off – practically at the front door of the hostel. The Hostel-Inn Iguazu was originally built to be a casino but after that business failed it was transformed into one of the fanciest hostels you can imagine.
