On Tuesday, Texas small forward Chris Jeffries won the annual slam dunk competition in Mar del Plata. Jeffries took the prize for the first time in Argentina, and the second time in South America. He previously won the award in Venezuela last season.

Just mentioning the words “Mar del Plata” will make any Argentine’s face green with envy. Mar del Plata is a picturesque city on the coast of Argentina, as well as a hot vacation spot for Argentines. A few friends and I decided to take a quick weekend trip there, and as expected, we had an amazing time. The city, the cottage-like homes, the beach, the restaurants and of course…the clubs are all divine.

Between the rich cream sauces, homemade pastas, unending cheese platters, incredible wine and the best steak your mouth has ever savored, you will never go hungry in Argentina! Argentina’s food is not only delicious, but also very satisfying. In addition, nothing tastes better than a good meal for an excellent price.
