Nightlife

The Victoria Aguirre Avenue and the intersection with Avenida Brazil is a very pleasant area for an evening stroll. A multitude of bars and restaurants to please all tastes, and some fairly exotic all-night clubs, such as Puerto Bambú, predictably decked out entirely in bamboo, which is given to reggae music.

Up Avenida Brazil and crossing over Paraguay, there is a series of bars that seem to be the obligatory stopping off points before heading into the town’s top disco, the Cuba Libre Disco Pub. While Jackie Brown’s has cocktails and DJ chill-out nights at the weekends, Puerta del Sol and Electra go for piped music and beer.

Other nice cafés include Café Central, Jokers Pub for pool, Oba Oba and Cristal Casa de Show for live shows.
