The Lake District is found in the southern part of the Argentine Republic and makes up an important part of the Patagonian Region. It spreads across the Río Negro and Neuquén provinces in Argentina, and continues beyond the Andes Mountains on the western border of Argentina, into Chile. You will know when you are leaving the Lake District as you will begin to see the land flatten out, the roads getting straighter and longer, and the climate beginning to dry.
