Argentina went through an economic crisis which climax was reached in December 2001. Since then the argentine peso devaluated against the dollar until reaching a more or less fixed exchange rate of 3 pesos per every dollar. Since 2001 the economy started growing at gigantic steps and nowadays is starting to get heated but it\'s still growing considerably. This devaluation made Argentina a paradise for turists which found great products and services at incredible prices. As year pass and demand keeps growing (due also to tourism and several other things) prices are rising due to market forces, and other factors, so prices are not us cheap as 5 or 6 years ago. But Argentina is becoming rapidly a mayor touristic destination and continues to be very cheap compared to most cities around the world.

I think that low cost of products and services will really attract lots of tourists. There are some tourists who just really love shopping and I think that they would love to go somewhere like Argentine if they do. I hope that your economy there will prosper more.

Thanks for the information Brian... Aside from tourism, what are the other industries in Argentina that are doing really well?
