Tour Argentina’s newest (and secret) hotspot.the north, and see why it is capturing the hearts and imaginations of all those who visit. Argentina’s northern region is home to traditional estancias, wildlife of the remote Ibera Wetlands and the incredible Iguazu Falls. In addition, colonial Salta’s spectacular mountain and desert landscapes will be sure to impress.

Day 1 – Buenos Aires
Upon arrival you will be met at the airport and transferred by private service to your hotel leaving you the remained of the day to explore the city and possibly get your first glimpse of the Obelisco, Casa Rosada, or the tree-lined streets of Recoleta.
Overnight.

Day 2 – Buenos Aires / Posadas/ Estancia San Lorenzo
Breakfast. At appropriate time, you will be taken to the domestic airport to take your flight to Posadas, private transfer. Upon arrival in Posadas you will be taken to your Estancia San Lorenzo where you will have the afternoon to explore the beautiful secluded countryside on foot or via horseback.
The fresh air and stunning scenery is the perfect complement to your days spending in
urban Buenos Aires.Lunch and dinner are included.Overnight.

Day 3 – Ibera Wetlands
After breakfast you’ll be going on a guided excursion over the Ibera Wetlands including Luna Lagoon and the Galarza Lagoon. As the second largest wetlands in the world the Esteros de Ibera are home to highly diverse species of plants and animals, including the river otter, maned wolf, and two species of crocodile. Lunch and dinner are included.Overnight.

Day 4 -Estancia San Lorenzo / Posadas / Puerto Iguazu
In the morning, you’ll have a transfer to Puerto Iguazu, private service.
Upon arrival, you will be taken to your hotel at which point you will have the afternoon to relax and enjoy the tropical climate and jungle setting.Overnight.

Day 5 – Iguazu National Park: Argentine Side
After breakfast you will depart on a full day excursion to the Argentine side of the Iguazu Falls where you will have intimate views of this unforgettable section of the Iguazu River. Lower and upper walkways permit up close and personal experiences with this magnificent spectacle of nature. Trails through the 210 square mile reserve provide visitors with various views of the Falls, especially the largest one, Devil’s Throat. The ecological train ride is included in the tour with an option to add the Safari Nautico boat trip taking you right up to the base of the Falls ( this exiting excursion is highly recommend in order to feel the power of the Iguazu Falls. You have to know that you will get 100% wet because it is like a”natural shower”. Be sure to take some extra clothes if you want to do this boat trip. Returnto the hotel in the late afternoon.Overnight.

Day 6 – Iguazu National Park: Brazilian Side
After breakfast, enjoy a half day excursion to the Brazilian side of the Iguazu Falls where you will enjoy vast panoramic views of the Falls allowing you to take them in in theirentirety.Overnight.

Day 7 – Puerto Iguazu / Salta
**(On Mondays & Fridays there’s a direct flight by Andes Airlines. If not, there are daily
flights by Aerolineas Argentina or Lan via Buenos Aires)**
Breakfast. At appropriate time, you will be transferred to the airport to take the flight to
Salta, regular service. Upon arrival in Salta, you will be taken to the hotel. During your first day in the city, we highly recommend walking around the beautiful colonial area.
Overnight.

Day 8 – Safari to the Clouds (Vuelta to the Clouds) – Salt Flats – Purmamarca
Departing in the morning we will travel along the same route as the famous Train to the Clouds, zigzagging on lonely roads between the blue sky and the Puna. On our way, we visit magnificent ruins, scattered houses, small villages and amazing landscapes.
Our first destination is the small town of Campo Quijano and later the impressive Quebrada del Toro, where we stop for a coffee break. Soon we leave behind the vegetation and start to be better acquainted with the solitary Puna. In Santa Rosa de Tastil, a pre-Inca city of the XIII century, we do archeological hiking. Later, we reach San Antonio de los Cobres, a small miners’ town rich in tradition. Farther ahead, a desert plateau will take us to the surreal landscape of the salt plains, where we stop again to walk around and enjoy the contrasts.In the afternoon, we return through the overwhelming Cuesta de Lipan and arrive at the Seven-color Hill in Purmamarca, a landmark on its own. Overnight.

Day 9 – Humahuaca Gorge
After breakfast, you will depart early in the morning for a tour along the Humahuaca Gorge, declared a Heritage of Mankind by UNESCO. First, you will visit places such as Maimará, “Paleta del Pintor”, Tilcara, Runa Arqueológica “El Pucará de Tilcara”, Huacalera, Trópico de Capricornio, Uquía (Pinturas Cuzqueñas) and finally the small town of Humahuaca, regular service. Return to Salta.Overnight.

Day 10 – Calchaquí Valley Excursion – Cafayate
The Calchaqui Valley is one of the gems of the northwest. After leaving Salta and the Lerma Valley behind, we drive through the beautiful and green Laureles and Escoipe gorges. The scenery slowly changes its shape and color while we climb the majestic Cuesta del Obispo up to its highest point, at 3000 meters. Later, we go down to the Enchanted Valley (“Los Cardones” National Park), where we visit a place surrounded by multicolored landscapes and fresh, unpolluted air. Feel the silence and get close to nature in this isolated spot! Afterwards, we visit Cachi, a typical town where the architecture beautifully combines indigenous and Spanish traditions. In the afternoon we continue our trip to the south visiting the towns of Seclantas, Molinos and Angastaco. We will continue through Las Flechas Gorge until we will arrive at the town of Cafayate, regular service. Overnight .

Day 11 – Calchaqui Valley Excursion
To get to know Salta, you should taste its wines. That’s why this tour takes you to the heart of the wine production land in Salta, zealously guarded by the stunning Quebrada de las Conchas. After leaving Salta and the Lerma Valley behind, we reach Alemania, an abandoned town that precedes the red mountains of the Conchas Gorge, where the erosion has caved curious forms on the rocks. There we take the opportunity to stop, walk and take wonderful pictures of the Castles, the Amphitheater, the Evil’s Gorge and other beautiful places. After that, we drive to Cafayate, where we visit two typical wineries and try the gorgeous Saltenian wines. A gift to delight your senses! In the afternoon, we return to Salta.Overnight.

Day 12 – Salta / Buenos Aires
At appropriate time, you will be transferred to the airport to take the flight back to Buenos Aires, regular service.Upon arrival, you will be taken to the hotel and have the rest of the day on your own to explore the city.Overnight.

Day 13 – Buenos Aires
Our day City Tour will provide you a great overview of the city and its diverse attractions. Over the course of three hours you will have the chance to visit Retiro, Avenida 9 de Julio, Downtown, Puerto Madero, San Telmo, Recoleta and La Boca.
Overnight.

Day 14 – Buenos Aires
Day at leisure to explore the cobbled tree lined streets of Palarmo Soho in search of one of a kind Porteño fashion, to sit in café and enjoy perfectly aged glass of malbec, or perhaps to sip yerba out of your newly purchased mate gourd while people watching in one of the parks that make up the Palermo Bosques. Overnight.

Day 15 – Buenos Aires
Breakfast. At appropriate time, you will be taken to the international airport to take your flight back home.
