Victoria “Vicky†Tanco is the youngest player by far at this year’s US Women’s Open, and she is from Moreno, Argentina. Tanco’s talent was obvious from a very young age. At 6, she was playing golf in her home town and by the age of 8 she had won her first international tournament in the 9 to 10-year-old age bracket. According to ESPN, Tanco won her first Argentine golf tournament when she was 12, competing against players in the 15-year-old bracket. Now, this golf prodigy is playing at the US Women’s Open. Tanka is delighted to be there and confident. However, no matter how good she is, she won’t consider joining the LPGA tour until she graduates from high school.
