“Live everyday to the fullest…you never know when it is your last.
So stop waiting…..

Author Danielle del BalsoUntil your car or home is paid off
Until your kids leave the house
Until you go back to school
Until you finish school
Until you lose 10 lbs
Until you get married
Until you have kids
Until you retire
Until summer

There is no better time than right now to be happy. Happiness is a journey, not a destination.”

nick.jpgThis is the motto I try to live my life by. After spending a semester living and studying at a university in Madrid, Spain, I knew I would continue traveling upon finishing school. I had my mind set upon being a lawyer for the longest time….until I realized I would never find happiness with this career. The times I have felt the most at peace were when I was traveling, learning other languages, experiencing other cultures and truly living life. Therefore, that is exactly what I am doing in South America.

While I want to return to the states at some point to start my dream career, I have made a vow to see all I want to see and do all I want to do before settling down. I think most people wait until they retire to travel. Unfortunately, some people never retire and some people never make it that far. So here I am…living, working, traveling and soaking up the world of Argentina as well as the rest of South America!

ColeI grew up in a small town in the foothills of California. I then studied Political Science and Spanish at the University of California, Davis. I have a passion for the health and fitness industry, and this is the career I plan to pursue upon returning to the United States. I would also like to open my own café someday…that is way down the road though. As of right now, I am working at an apartment rental agency in Buenos Aires called Best Rentals Buenos Aires. We mainly work with people like myself… foreigners coming to live and travel in another country. It has been a fun job so far….but not my dream job!

I am not a city girl, but I do love Buenos Aires! It has the perfect mixture of European influence and South American flare. It is the best of both worlds, and this mixture creates a city unlike any other. In addition to the incredible people, the food is to die for, the night life is unbelievable, and the shopping is fantastically addictive! I cannot imagine any city person not falling in love with Buenos Aires.

By Iguazu FallsWhile living and working in another country can be challenging and lonely at times, it is an experience that cannot wait until I retire, until another year, until whenever. Right now is the perfect time for me to travel, as well as live and work in South America. Right now is the perfect time to learn Spanish and to do whatever else life brings me. I refuse to put life on hold until another day!
