Well-known expat group South American Explorers (SAE) will be holding a tree planting ceremony on Saturday, April 26. The event will be held in the Barracas neighborhood in the southwest corner of the city from 9:15 am until around 2 pm. This is an open event, but the SAE is looking for about 10 volunteers to commit to participating. Alcira Perlini Montiel, a UN Observer for Climate Change from Fundacion Argentina de Etoecologia will be presiding over the planting. Buenos Aires is a city known for it’s parks and green spaces, and Saturday’s event looks to add to that reputation, as well as symbolically represent the global Earth Day holiday.
