Ski centers in Argentina and Chile recently presented their plans for making the upcoming ski season memorable and modern. According to the ClarÃn, the major telephone and internet companies, Personal and Arnet, are sponsoring the ski area Cerro Catedral, in Bariloche, and are promising to expand their services in that area. LAN Argentina is increasing flights to Bariloche and is the official sponsor of Catedral Alta Patagonia. In Las Leñas, near Mendoza, a large amount of money is being invested in remodeling some of the nicest hotels and in purchasing new ski equipment of the highest quality. The season has “officially†begun, and it seems like Argentina and its biggest corporations and ski resorts are more than ready.
